Abstract
The purpose of this research is to explores changes of Korean welfare attitude using the group-based multi-trajectory model. For research, this research took a more comprehensive approach strategy by defining the welfare attitude as five types of attitudes towards welfare policies(inequality, government expenditure, universality, policy evaluation, tax increase) based on the multi-dimensional perspective, and also drawing many groups sharing the aspect of change at the same time. For the analysis, this study utilized the 8th, 11th, and the 14th-year additional research data of Korea Welfare Panel Study, by conducting the group-based multi-trajectory model analysis. In the results, there were four groups with different trajectory of change such as ¡®selective expansion group(48.7%)¡¯, ¡®expansion opposition group(25.7%)¡¯, ¡®expense avoidance group(18.9%)¡¯, and ¡®active expansion group(6.7%)¡¯. The differences of attitude in each group in relation to the five policy-level issues were stably maintained. Also, the probability belonging to each group showed such distinct differences according to the demographic characteristics and political ideology, which verified that the welfare attitude of Korean society members was also socially structured according to the interests of welfare policies.
